Job Description

Responsible for facilitating the calculation of the final closing costs for a borrower taking out a loan with client.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  •     Develop customer relationships, maintains business by demonstrating professional customer service and communication.
  •     Process residential escrows, generally involving cash, refinance, Equity Loans, Lot Closing, or new loan transactions.
  •     Prepare preprinted documents, closing statements and escrow instructions, present to buyers and sellers at closing and coordinate timing of closing, recording, disbursement of funds and issuance of title insurance policy.
  •     Ensure that each escrow folder is properly completed and its contents filed in accordance with standardized escrow procedures. Properly documents notes in every file.
  •     Ensure that all terms and conditions of the purchase and sale agreement are complied with.
  •     Obtain necessary instruments and demands to clear title for closing.
  •     Contact brokers, real estate agents, builders, attorneys, lenders and other customers to solicit business and ascertain the individual service needs to the customer through excellent communication skills.
  •     Participates in phone calls with the borrower/client to review/explain loan closing figures as calculated on the final HUD. Must be comfortable with discussing loan closing documents and explaining how mortgage payoff figures are calculated.
  •    High School Diploma/GED required.
  •    1+ year HUD-1 Settlement Statement Preparation experience
  •    PA Title License preferred.

Computer Skills
  •  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office; a fax machine; a copier/scanning machine; and a multi-line telephone.

Other Skills and Abilities
  •     Ability to calculate payoffs, transfer taxes, mortgage taxes, etc.
  •     Ability to multi-task.
  •     Ability to meet deadlines.
  •     Strong customer relations skills
  •     Strong organizational skills are required, as well as excellent verbal and written communication
