Retail Bank Branch Manager

Wayne, NJ
Responsible for overall administration (sales, service, staffing, credit operations, facilities, etc.) of a designed banking office, minimum size of $21M to $40M and staff of six
  1. Responsible for the overall profitable performance of the banking office
  2. Responsible for being aware of every aspect of the overall administration of the banking office and for making recommendations to the President on how to improve performance in sales, operations, staffing, facilities, services, etc.
  3. Recognizes opportunities and effectively cross-sell the bank’s deposit/loan/investment products to customers and prospects
  4. Responsible for individual gathering of deposits/loans in an effort to attain the greatest percentage increase in growth
  5. Responsible for the development of business plans for his/her banking office to maximize growth and market penetration
  6. Overall administration of the banking office inclusive of staffing, salary quality and service standards, etc.
  7. Overall administration of the operational functions inclusive of all operational reporting, maintenance, security, and communication of and adherence to all approved operating policies and procedures
  8. Ensure the credit need of the banking office are met and oversees the credit exercised by officers within the banking office (i.e. establishing and monitoring personnel’s authorities, reviewing obligations maturing, credit files and the quality of collateral, etc.)
  9. Responsible for the motivation and career development of all employees within the banking office
  10. Makes suggestion to improve the quality of sales/service/products/facilities, etc.
  11. Actively participates in community and in events during and after business hours to present the Bank as a community advocate and to promote business development in the local community.
  12. Supports bank CRA’s efforts on an as needed basis.
  13. Ensures branch associates adhere to the Bank’s established compliance incentives as they pertain to AML/BSA requirements.
  14. Performs business development call activity outside of the branch office to prospective and existing customer locations.
Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Supports the Bank’s sales and incentives programs, being aware of opportunities and making recommendations to attract new customers to the Bank and cross-sells additional services to existing customers
  2. Keeps current in all Bank products and services
  3. Supports the Bank’s corporate education program by enhancing their knowledge and skills related to their job through education.Required to complete BAI Compliance Courses according to schedule.
  4. Responsible for compliance requirements applicable to the associate’s job function and in being accountable to follow those compliance regulations specific to their area of the Bank.
  5. Performs tasks, which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or redesigned depending upon individual circumstances
  6. May function as a Registered Mortgage Specialist/MLO
General Requirements
  1. College degree preferred and minimum three years experience in retail banking as a Branch Manager
  2. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of management
  3. Must be highly organized, have administration skills, be self-motivated, and have an ability to motivate colleagues
  4. Must have business development experience in a retail bank setting
