POSITION SUMMARY
Using knowledge of documentation requirements and deadlines that comply with relevant laws and regulations, the business and mortgage loan processor accurately assembles loan packets for commercial and real estate loans. They collaborate with necessary departments to ensure loans are completed in a timely manner. Situations can move quickly from low stress to high stress and can require flexible hours.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Provide timely, accurate and complete reports to monitor operational function of the department and ensure steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory results
• Monitor and assist with workflow processes in all aspects of Mortgage and Commercial lending to achieve maximum productivity and a smooth processing function
• Provide accurate information regarding closing requirements to clients and colleagues
• Order credit reports, appraisals, title insurance, flood certifications and certificate of good standing (Secretary of State), and all other certifications as necessary
• Track missing mortgage deeds and insurance documents.
• Handle releases of titles, mortgages, liens & payoffs
• Ensure liens are perfected, including but not limited to: UCC11 and title reports
• Authorize funding of business and mortgage loans upon verification of all documents
• Provide consistent, excellent customer service to both internal and external members
• Communicate with various departments to ensure that loan document needs are met
• Scan all relevant loan documents into the imaging system
• Assist team members with questions and concerns and provide necessary/requested information
• Create new loan files for business loans and mortgages
• Keep loan files organized & current
• Assist in retrieving documents for reports, audits and exam requests
• Provide notary service
• Meet or exceed all processing deadlines per regulatory and internal requirements
• Set up ACH payments, funds transfers and Direct Deposits
• Assist members with requests, problems and complaints relating to business and mortgage loans
• Complete daily filing
• Understand compliance issues, adhere to regulations, and attend training as related to the position
• Provide competent credit analysis for lending activities as assigned/necessary
o Assistance in the administration of commercial borrowing accounts
o Conduct appraisal reviews
o Process credit applications
o Verifies credit references and information and determines credit limits
o Prepares reports on status of credit and collections
• Exist as back up to the underwriting department as necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Mandatory compliance of all BSA/AML regulations, forms and procedures:
o Maintain awareness of and report suspicious activity
o Complete annual BSA training
o Notify immediate supervisor of any substantive discrepancies
