Remote Hard Money Closer

Location: Remote (PST or MST Time Zones)
Compensation: 55-65k
Reports To: Director of Lending Operations

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Hard Money Closer to join our growing team. This is a remote position and requires candidates to reside in either the PST or MST time zones. As a Hard Money Closer, you will be responsible for overseeing the closing process for hard money loan transactions, ensuring all parties are aligned and the transaction runs smoothly from start to finish.

The ideal candidate will have true hard money lending experience and a deep understanding of the closing process for these types of loans. You must be detail-oriented, able to work independently, and skilled in managing multiple files at once. This position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment while playing a crucial role in the success of each deal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loan Closing Management: Manage and oversee the closing process for hard money loans, including reviewing all necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration with Borrowers and Lenders: Communicate directly with borrowers, brokers, title companies, and legal teams to ensure smooth and timely closings.
  • Document Review & Preparation: Ensure all required loan documents (promissory notes, deeds of trust, settlement statements, etc.) are properly prepared, executed, and accurate.
  • Title and Escrow Coordination: Work closely with title companies and escrow officers to facilitate the timely and accurate transfer of funds and ownership during the loan closing.
  • Problem Solving: Resolve any issues that arise during the closing process, whether related to document discrepancies, title issues, or funding challenges.
  • Compliance: Ensure all hard money transactions comply with applicable state and federal regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
  • File Management: Keep accurate and organized records of loan files, tracking deadlines and ensuring all necessary documentation is submitted on time.
  • Communication with Internal Teams: Work closely with loan originators, underwriters, and other internal departments to ensure all requirements are met and any potential roadblocks are addressed.
  • Post-Closing Support: Assist in the post-closing process, ensuring all final documents are recorded, funding is disbursed properly, and loan files are closed out appropriately.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in hard money lending or as a hard money loan closer.
  • Knowledge of Hard Money Loans: In-depth understanding of the hard money lending industry, including lending criteria, risks, and regulatory considerations.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, especially when reviewing loan documents and ensuring compliance.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with borrowers, brokers, title companies, and internal teams.
  • Ability to Manage Multiple Files: Ability to juggle multiple loan files simultaneously while meeting deadlines and addressing any challenges.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proactive in resolving issues during the closing process, offering creative solutions and managing expectations.
  • Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using loan management software, CRMs, and other digital tools related to the loan closing process.
  • Remote Work Skills: Able to work effectively in a remote environment, with strong time management, organizational skills, and self-motivation.
  • Time Zone Requirement: Must reside in PST or MST time zones for alignment with team schedules and operational needs.
