Our client is a growing private lending company specializing in hard money loans for real estate investors. They offer competitive loan programs for property investors, focusing on construction, fix-and-flip, and other property development projects. The company is expanding rapidly, and they are looking for a dedicated and experienced Hard Money Loan Officer to join their remote team and drive business growth.
Position Overview:
The Remote Hard Money Loan Officer will be responsible for originating and managing hard money loan opportunities for real estate investors. This position involves working with clients seeking financing for construction and fix-and-flip projects, developing loan structures, and closing deals. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in hard money lending, construction loans, or fix-and-flip projects, and should be comfortable with some self-generation of leads while also taking advantage of provided business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loan Origination: Develop and maintain relationships with real estate investors, brokers, and other referral sources to originate hard money loans for construction and fix-and-flip projects.
- Self-Production: Actively generate leads and opportunities for new loans through networking, cold calling, and leveraging personal connections within the real estate investment community.
- Loan Structuring: Assess borrower needs, evaluate property potential, and work with clients to structure loans that align with their real estate projects (including fix-and-flip and construction).
- Lead Management: Convert provided leads into loan opportunities, while maintaining a strong focus on self-prospecting and expanding the client base.
- Client Communication: Guide clients through the loan process, ensuring all documentation is collected, questions are answered, and timelines are adhered to. Maintain regular communication with borrowers and brokers.
- Closing Coordination: Collaborate with the underwriting and processing teams to ensure smooth loan closings, handling any issues that arise during the process.
- Networking & Business Development: Attend and participate in sponsored events and conferences to increase visibility and bring in new business. Develop relationships with industry professionals to generate referral opportunities.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all loans are compliant with company policies and industry regulations, keeping accurate records and loan documentation.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in hard money lending, with a strong focus on construction loans and fix-and-flip projects.
- Self-Production: Proven ability to generate leads independently, with a track record of successful loan origination.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of hard money lending, construction financing, and real estate investment strategies.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain loan products and processes to clients and brokers in a clear and professional manner.
- Bilingual: Spanish language skills are a plus, as the ability to communicate with Spanish-speaking clients and partners is highly valued.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple loan opportunities and client relationships simultaneously, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfort with digital tools, including CRM software, loan origination systems, and email communication.
