Our client is an institutional private lender that provides real estate investors and developers with business-purpose financing on non-owner-occupied residential properties. Their core focus is on funding Rehab Bridge and DSCR Rental loans, as well as Ground-Up Construction projects. As a well-capitalized firm in the start-up phase, they are looking for a skilled Loan Closer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely loan closings across a variety of investment-purpose real estate products.
The Closer will manage the document preparation and closing process for residential investment-purpose loans. This includes DSCR Rental, Bridge, and Ground-Up Construction loans. The role requires strong communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Coordinate with Processors, Underwriters, Accounting, Title, Escrow, Legal, Brokers, and Borrowers to facilitate smooth, timely closings.
Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal stakeholders and external clients.
Clearly communicate file status, outstanding conditions, and expectations to team members and closing agents.
Review loan files for completeness and identify missing documentation before preparing loan documents.
Prepare and package loan documentation accurately and efficiently for delivery to closing.
Review and approve preliminary settlement statements.
Balance wires for funding and confirm all fees, rates, and loan terms are correct.
Maintain updated and accurate records in the loan origination system.
Identify deficiencies and ensure document corrections are made before final review.
Determine loan file readiness for funding and verify completion of all required documents.
Scan and review critical documents prior to collateral shipment to warehouse.
Ensure timely delivery of final/trailing documents to investors.
Board closed loans to the servicing system.
Recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce closing errors.
Support additional operational needs as requested by management.

High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of document preparation/closing experience preferred.
Prior experience in private money or non-prime mortgage post-closing required.
Experience with commercial lending for single-family rentals, multifamily, bridge (fix and flip), ground-up construction, or similar real estate loans.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and web-based tools.
