Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Salary: $80,000 annually
Location: Remote (must reside in Eastern or Central Time Zone)- must work in Central time
A growing mortgage company is seeking a Processing Manager to build and lead a new processing department from the ground up. This is a hands-on role to start, with full responsibility for managing files before transitioning into leadership and team development.
To be considered, you must have recent experience as a Processing Manager overseeing a remote team. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in both processing and closing, be comfortable with manual loan files, and ready to help design workflows and hire staff as the department scales.
Manage full-cycle, manual loan processing from intake through clear-to-close
Work closely with the closing department to ensure accurate and timely closings
Submit complete loan files, clear conditions, and maintain documentation accuracy
Build out department processes, workflows, and systems from scratch
Hire, train, and lead a team of remote processors as volume grows
Monitor pipeline health and team productivity
Maintain compliance with investor, agency, and internal standards
Report directly to senior leadership
Must reside in Eastern or Central Time Zone (required)
Must have been a Processing Manager within the last 12 months (required)
Must have experience managing a remote processing team (required)
5+ years of recent hands-on experience processing mortgage loans
Must have closing experience
Familiarity with non-profit loan programs preferred
NMLS license preferred
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Works well independently and thrives in a build-from-scratch environment
Comfortable processing FHA, VA, Conventional, USDA, and non-profit loan types
Brings structure, calm, and consistency to fast-moving operations
Ready to take ownership of department growth and performance
