Processing Manager – Mortgage Operations (Remote, EST or CST Only)

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Salary: $80,000 annually
Location: Remote (must reside in Eastern or Central Time Zone)- must work in Central time

A growing mortgage company is seeking a Processing Manager to build and lead a new processing department from the ground up. This is a hands-on role to start, with full responsibility for managing files before transitioning into leadership and team development.

To be considered, you must have recent experience as a Processing Manager overseeing a remote team. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in both processing and closing, be comfortable with manual loan files, and ready to help design workflows and hire staff as the department scales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle, manual loan processing from intake through clear-to-close

• Work closely with the closing department to ensure accurate and timely closings

• Submit complete loan files, clear conditions, and maintain documentation accuracy

• Build out department processes, workflows, and systems from scratch

• Hire, train, and lead a team of remote processors as volume grows

• Monitor pipeline health and team productivity

• Maintain compliance with investor, agency, and internal standards

• Report directly to senior leadership

Requirements:

• Must reside in Eastern or Central Time Zone (required)

• Must have been a Processing Manager within the last 12 months (required)

• Must have experience managing a remote processing team (required)

• 5+ years of recent hands-on experience processing mortgage loans

• Must have closing experience

• Familiarity with non-profit loan programs preferred

• NMLS license preferred

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
