Remote Correspondent Mortgage Processor

Parsippany, NJ

Our client is seeking an experienced Mortgage Processor to join their team. This role is responsible for managing a loan pipeline from submission through closing and post-closing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with FHA, VA, and Conventional loans, a deep understanding of guidelines, and the ability to calculate income and structure loans properly.

Candidate Must Reside in one of the following States: NJ, PA, CT, DE, NY or WV

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage a pipeline of multiple loans from initial submission to closing and post-closing

  • Process FHA, VA, and Conventional loans (USDA a plus) with accuracy and efficiency

  • Apply knowledge of RESPA, HMDA, and TRID to ensure compliance

  • Calculate income and structure loans in accordance with investor guidelines

  • Work closely with Loan Officers, leadership, and wholesale account executives

  • Assist with trailing and post-closing documentation as needed

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of mortgage processing experience

  • Proficiency in Calyx software

  • In-depth knowledge of FHA, VA, Conventional guidelines (USDA a plus)

  • Candidate must have worked for a true correspondent or mini-correspondent lender in a Mortgage Processor role.

  • Working knowledge of RESPA, HMDA, and TRID regulations

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 8–5 or 9–6 (40 hours per week)

Compensation

  • Base salary: $48,000 annually

  • Structure: 1099 contractor role initially (no benefits)

  • After 6 months: salary review and option to transition to W2 with potential benefits

  • Exempt role (not eligible for overtime)
