Position: Mortgage Loan Processor / Loan Officer Assistant
Location: Remote
Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: $60,000 base + tiered per-file bonus
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–6:00 PM- Must work East Coast hours

Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mortgage Broker Loan Processor / Loan Officer Assistant to support a growing mortgage brokerage team. This role manages loans from client intake through closing — ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance throughout the entire loan process.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect borrower documentation and verify income, assets, employment, and credit.

  • Review, organize, and prepare loan files for submission.

  • Submit files through broker portals (UWM, Homepoint, Plaza, etc.).

  • Track and clear underwriting conditions quickly and accurately.

  • Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, title, insurance, and third parties.

  • Manage pipeline status and anticipate potential closing delays.

  • Review final CDs, confirm funding details, and coordinate closings.

  • Maintain CRM and LOS data with detailed updates and documentation.

  • Support the loan officer with disclosures, compliance, and customer updates.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of mortgage processing or LOA experience.

  • Must have worked for a mortgage broker (not retail or depository).

  • Arive LOS experience required for remote candidates.

  • Proficient in broker loan submission and condition management.

  • Knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, Non-QM, and DSCR products.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple active loans.
