Loan Closing Manager - in Office

Our client is hiring a Senior Program Manager of Loan Closing for a full-time, exempt, in-office role in New York, NY. This position is responsible for senior-level closing quality control, compliance review, and oversight of the recently closed pipeline, including escalations and coordination across internal stakeholders.

 

This is an in-office position. Remote or hybrid work is not available.

 

Responsibilities:

• Act as the second approver on loans requiring dual quality control

• Review loan files for proper compliance, disclosures, signatures, and documentation

• Calculate figures and quality check closing documents; resolve errors and train staff to prevent future errors

• Ensure consistency and accuracy across closing documentation and requirements

• Handle borrower complaints and escalations beyond line staff

• Hold regular meetings with finance to keep loan funding processes moving

• Work with leadership to spot-check and audit program pipelines for accuracy

• Issue closing instructions to settlement agents; order and review title work

• Maintain and prepare reports for senior management

• Process invoice payments for the department across vendors and programs

• Support onboarding to subservicer or internal servicing for modified HF loans, then hand off to servicing

• Reconcile recording rejections to ensure recordings process properly

• Ensure adherence to federal and state regulatory requirements

 

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or at least 5 years of relevant experience in a related field

• Training in mortgage lending and closings

• At least 3 years of experience as a mortgage loan closing manager (bank, credit union, or mortgage lender)

• Strong ability to read, interpret, and work through mortgage loan documents and terminology

• Strong written and verbal communication

• Microsoft Office proficiency; comfort working in a fast-paced environment

• Familiarity with loan origination software and CRMs

 

Compensation:

• $80,000–$93,000
