Post-Closing Director

We are seeking an experienced Post-Closing Director to lead and oversee all post-closing mortgage operations. This fully remote leadership role manages a team of 18 and is responsible for ensuring timely, compliant, and investor-ready loan delivery across all channels.

 

This position requires significant post-closing leadership experience combined with a strong underwriting background. The right candidate has personally restructured loans to investor guidelines, provided rebuttals to investor conditions, and understands how to move loans efficiently through correspondent and warehouse channels.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Lead and manage a post-closing team responsible for clearing all post-closing conditions across Agency, Government, DPA/Bond, Non-QM, and Jumbo loan types.

• Maintain post-closing pipeline health and prevent extended warehouse dwell times.

• Oversee final document custody, collateral delivery, trailing documents, and government loan insuring.

• Partner with underwriting and loss mitigation on escalated credit issues to minimize risk exposure.

• Work directly with correspondent investors, TPR firms, and warehouse lenders to ensure smooth loan purchase.

• Identify recurring loan defects and implement controls to improve loan quality and lifecycle management.

• Support internal and external QC audits and regulatory reviews.

 

Qualifications:

 

• 10+ years of mortgage industry experience.

• Prior experience supervising a post-closing team with direct accountability for investor purchase timelines.

• Strong underwriting background with hands-on experience restructuring loans to investor guidelines and addressing investor conditions.

• Experience working with correspondent investors and warehouse lines.

• Experience managing final documents and government loan insuring.

• Proficiency in Encompass and investor delivery systems including FHA, VA, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac tools.

 

Compensation ranges from $130,000 to $180,000 base salary, plus a tiered team bonus structure. Comprehensive benefits and long-term growth opportunity are included.
