Position: Senior Loan Processor
Location: Queens Village, New York
Work Model: In-Office
Compensation: $60,000-$65,000 base for candidates with 2-4 years of recent experience; $70,000 base for candidates with approximately 5+ years of experience; per file bonus and increased bonus for 21 day clear to close loans
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM-6:00 PM
Benefits: 401(k) after 1 year of service with 3% Safe Harbor contribution, discretionary profit sharing, 5 PTO days annually increasing to 10 days after 5 years of service, major Federal holidays, and additional paid Jewish holidays when the office is closed; no health benefits at this time, though there may be openness to discussing cost-sharing of insurance premiums
Overview
We are seeking a Senior Loan Processor to manage loans from submission through clear-to-close while supporting clean, on-time closings and a strong borrower experience. This is a high-trust, high-visibility role working closely with ownership and helping keep the pipeline moving through strong judgment, proactive communication, and organized file management.
Responsibilities
- Review new submissions for completeness, accuracy, and compliance and identify gaps before underwriting.
- Order, track, and review third-party items including title, appraisal, VOE/VOI, and homeowners insurance while maintaining clean file organization.
- Submit files to underwriting and clear conditions quickly and accurately to keep files moving toward closing.
- Monitor contingency dates, underwriting turn-times, closing dates, and rate lock expirations.
- Ensure disclosures and re-disclosures meet TRID timelines and requirements.
- Communicate proactively with borrowers, realtors, attorneys/title, underwriters, and internal stakeholders to prevent delays.
- Manage loans end-to-end from submission through clear-to-close.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of mortgage processing experience in a broker environment.
- Recent mortgage broker environment experience.
- Strong knowledge of Conventional, FHA, and VA documentation and condition clearing. Non-QM is a plus.
- Working knowledge of TRID and disclosure compliance.
- Experience with a loan origination system such as Arive, Encompass, LendingPad, or a similar LOS.
- Familiarity with Arive, Dropbox, DocuSign, and Outlook.
- Comfort working in lender portals including UWM, PennyMac, ARC, NewRez, CMG, and Logan Finance.
- Strong organization, reliability, and communication skills in a high-accountability small team environment.
