Remote Loan Officer Assistant- NC or FL NMLS required- Base plus commission
Position: Loan Officer Assistant
Location: Fully Remote
Schedule: East Coast hours
Compensation: $25/hour
Bonus: 10 basis points on actual monthly closed and funded loan volume
Overview
A mortgage company is hiring two licensed Loan Officer Assistants to work remotely and directly support individual Loan Officers.
This is primarily a borrower-facing role focused on the front end of the mortgage process. The LOA will communicate directly with borrowers, assist with loan applications, collect documentation, provide follow-up, and perform some mortgage processing duties to help keep files moving toward closing.
This is not a traditional processing-only position. The strongest fit will have mortgage origination experience, an active MLO license, and be comfortable working directly with borrowers.
Responsibilities
• Support one assigned Loan Officer
• Communicate directly with borrowers during the initial stages of the mortgage process
• Assist with mortgage loan applications
• Collect borrower documentation
• Follow up with borrowers for outstanding information and documents
• Assist with mortgage processing and loan documentation
• Maintain organization and file follow-up
• Help keep loans moving toward closing
• Provide professional and responsive borrower service
Qualifications
• Active MLO license required
• Florida and/or North Carolina licensing strongly preferred
• Mortgage origination experience required
• Experience working directly with mortgage borrowers
• Comfortable assisting with loan applications and borrower documentation
• Ability to perform some mortgage processing responsibilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Availability to work East Coast hours
