Location: Fairfield County / Greenwich, CT
Work Model: In Office
Compensation: $75,000–$85,000 base salary
Bonus/Incentive: per file after 10 loans
Schedule: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Overview
A mortgage company is hiring an experienced Senior Mortgage Loan Processor to manage mortgage files from application through closing. This position is focused on complex residential loan files, including Non-QM, Jumbo, Super Jumbo, portfolio, conventional, and high-net-worth borrower transactions.
This role is a strong fit for a highly organized, proactive processor who can independently manage a substantial pipeline, analyze complex borrower documentation, coordinate with borrowers and third parties, and identify issues before they delay underwriting or closing.
Responsibilities
• Manage mortgage files from application through closing
• Package and submit loans for approval
• Clear underwriting and closing conditions
• Maintain complete, accurate, and compliant loan files
• Coordinate with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, attorneys, title companies, appraisers, and other third parties
• Process conventional, jumbo, super jumbo, Non-QM, and portfolio residential loans
• Analyze personal and business tax returns, self-employed income, rental income, and other complex-income scenarios
• Review borrower assets, large deposits, gift funds, reserves, and source-of-funds documentation
• Manage purchase and refinance transactions
• Support high-net-worth borrower transactions
• Review mortgage disclosures, underwriting conditions, and closing requirements
• Communicate professionally with borrowers, referral partners, loan officers, underwriters, and management
• Use residential loan origination systems, AUS, Arrive/ARIVE, Acumen, and AI tools
• Maintain discretion when handling confidential financial information
Qualifications
• 3–5 years of mortgage processing experience
• Experience independently managing loans from application through closing
• Experience processing Non-QM, Jumbo, Super Jumbo, and portfolio loans
• Conventional and jumbo residential mortgage processing experience
• Strong ability to analyze personal and business tax returns, self-employed income, rental income, and complex-income files
• Experience reviewing borrower assets, large deposits, gift funds, reserves, and source-of-funds documentation
• Working knowledge of residential mortgage underwriting guidelines and documentation standards
• Knowledge of mortgage disclosures, underwriting conditions, and closing requirements
• Familiarity with TILA, RESPA, ECOA, HMDA, and fair-lending standards
• Experience with DU/LP and residential loan origination systems
• Arrive/ARIVE, Acumen, and AI tool experience preferred
• Experience processing loans in New York, Connecticut, and Florida preferred
• Experience with bank statement, P&L, asset depletion, condominium, cooperative, investment-property, and multi-unit files preferred
• Familiarity with New York cooperative loans and attorney-driven closings preferred
• Commercial lending experience is a plus
• Mortgage bank, mortgage brokerage, community bank, private lender, or credit union experience preferred
• NMLS registration or licensing preferred
• Multilingual ability preferred
• Ability to work in-office in the Greenwich/Fairfield County, CT area
