Requirements We are looking to hire a Junior Accountant with 1-2 years experience in accounting. This person will be an important asset to our Accounting department and will report to our Company Controller. Potential and opportunity for growth.
Software to include QuickBooks, LoanPro, Encompass, Excel, Microsoft Outlook.
Coordinate, process, and reconcile payments from borrowers and title settlement agents.
Maintain record of appraisal escrow payments received and any refunds due.
Record payment from borrowers for unsecured consumer loan accounts including securing funds via credit card merchant processing.
Post payments to unsecured consumer loan accounts; managing A/R portfolio; generating monthly statements of account, mailing statements in a timely manner.
Record closing settlement proceeds received and assist with bank deposit preparation
Reconcile receipt of borrower payments against appraiser invoices to be paid, identifying any over/under payments and confirming company paid approvals.
Prepare final invoice reconciliation approval for file compliance purposes.
Reconcile record of company daily closing activity, certifying accurate funds due are received and identify any over/under payment discrepancies.
Reconcile funding wire requests against warehouse bank disbursements and haircuts.
Reconcile warehouse residuals received and identify any over/under payment discrepancies.
Administrative Functions: High Volume Data Entry
Maintain accounting records by making copies, scanning & filing documents.
Collect daily Mail/Fed Ex, open and distribute.
Assist with maintaining company protocol and compliance according to GAAP principles.
Ensure work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
Protect organization's value by maintaining all financial information confidential.
Contribute to team effort by completing other duties and tasks as assigned.
