Position: Mortgage Collector
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $24 per hour + Monthly Performance Bonuses

A well-established mortgage servicing company is seeking an experienced Mortgage Collector to join their team on a fully remote basis. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and goal-oriented professional with a strong background in mortgage collections to contribute to a growing organization.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of delinquent mortgage accounts and initiate collection efforts in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations

• Conduct outbound and receive inbound calls to/from borrowers to collect past-due payments, set up repayment plans, and resolve delinquencies

• Accurately document all collection activities in the loan servicing system

• Monitor follow-up schedules for promised payments and escalate unresolved issues as needed

• Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, including FDCPA and CFPB guidelines

• Deliver excellent customer service while effectively negotiating payment arrangements

• Collaborate with internal departments, including loss mitigation and customer service

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in mortgage collections is required
• Work in Eastern Time Zone

• Familiarity with mortgage servicing systems and default processes

• Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting performance goals

• High attention to detail and organizational skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online communication tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

• Working knowledge of federal mortgage servicing guidelines and regulations
