Position: Loan Processor

Work Model: In Office
Compensation: Starting at $72,000–$73,000, with flexibility depending on experience
Schedule: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, with some Saturdays and evenings

Overview
A nonprofit lending organization is hiring an experienced Loan Processor to support its lending team in Los Angeles.
This person will work closely with the Director of Lending, Loan Officers, lenders, clients, and other staff to process mortgage files, maintain compliance with lending and privacy requirements, and support loans involving down payment assistance and other lending programs.
The role is in-office and requires someone with strong mortgage processing experience, knowledge of lending regulations, and comfort working directly with clients and lending partners.
Responsibilities
• Process mortgage loan files and support transactions through the lending process
• Review files for lending and privacy requirements
• Work closely with Loan Officers and the Director of Lending
• Coordinate with lenders, clients, and internal staff
• Support down payment assistance and other lending programs
• Maintain accurate and complete loan documentation
• Work within Encompass and other lending systems
• Follow applicable mortgage lending regulations and standards
• Support clients referred through internal programs and services
Qualifications
• 5+ years of mortgage loan processing experience
• Experience with a mortgage lender, financial institution, or nonprofit lending organization
• Knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and standards
• Knowledge of lending privacy requirements
• Experience with down payment assistance and other lending programs
• Encompass experience
• Fundingo and Salesforce experience preferred
• Real estate background preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Ability to work in-office in Los Angeles
• Ability to work 9:00 AM–6:00 PM with some Saturdays and evenings
