Quality Control and Compliance Auditor
Lakeside Park, KYTo verify loan production and Company operations are compliant with federal, state and
investor guidelines to reduce company risk in the origination and closing operations.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform daily pre-closing reviews of the loans closing within the next week utilizing our
Quality Control checklist to verify the files are correct and complete.
2. Communicate to the production staff, originators, processors and closers the results of the
QC audit regarding missing or misinformation which requires correction prior to the
closing. To follow up with those parties to verify corrections have been completed prior
to closing
3. Report weekly audit findings within Encompass which will be presented to Management.
4. Post-closing audit of a sample of the loan production to verify investor guidelines are
being followed relevant to income calculation, source of assets and funds to close and
other items as determined.
5. Review TENA findings to identify areas of concern and summarize the monthly analysis in
a report to your Manager on issues identified by TENA.
6. Assist with the gathering of information for upcoming exams by auditors.
7. Be vigilant in following up to ensure that developed plans addressing compliance issues
and problems have been implemented.
8. Accomplish compliance work requirements by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling,
and guiding auditors.
9. Prepare for external audits by researching materials and formulating a plan of action.
10. Ensure compliance with regulations and controls by examining and analyzing records,
reports, operating practices and documentation; recommending opportunities to
strengthen the internal control structure.
11. Verify assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation.
12. Complete audit work papers and memorandums by documenting audit tests and findings.
13. Communicate audit progress and findings by preparing reports and providing information
in meetings.
14. Support external auditors by coordinating information requirements.
15. Provide management reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing management
information.
