
Position: QC / Due Diligence Credit & Compliance Contractor

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced mortgage due diligence professional to conduct credit and compliance QC reviews across newly originated loans, ensuring adherence to investor, regulatory, and internal standards. This position supports institutional loan sale transactions and requires precision, independence, and proven due diligence expertise.
Responsibilities:
Perform end-to-end QC due diligence reviews across Non-QM, DSCR, Jumbo Prime, HELOC, and Closed-End Second loans.
Conduct secondary audit-level QC of completed due diligence reviews.
Ensure credit and compliance accuracy across newly originated loans.
Identify and document errors, categorize defects, and escalate risk areas.
Provide written feedback to reviewers for process improvement.
Analyze trends and propose corrective action plans.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mortgage industry standards, investor guidelines, and regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of credit/compliance QC experience within due diligence.
Recent due diligence experience is required.
LauraMac proficiency required (no exceptions).
GSE defect review experience required.
Scienna system experience preferred.
Advanced knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, QM, and Non-QM regulations.
Ability to produce error-free, investor-grade findings.
Must meet monthly file minimums to remain active.
📌 This is a project-based 1099 role. You will be added to an approved contractor panel and contacted for file assignments as needed. There is no fixed start date. Applications will be reviewed, and selected candidates will be contacted during the last week of November for next steps.
